Yonder Alonso Begins Rehab Assignment

According to Kyle Glaser of Riverside Press-Enterprise, San Diego Padres first baseman Yonder Alonso began his rehab assignment last night.

Alonso started his an assignment with Class A Elsinore. He is currently on the disabled list with the a shoulder injury. Glaser reported on Alonso fared in his first game back.

Alonso will likely spend some time down in the minors to see how the shoulder is progressing. As he continues to rehab we will keep you updated on his status.
