Yi Jianlian To Be Backup Center?

According to Mike Bresnahan of the Spectrum Sportsnet Los Angeles Lakers big man Yi Jianlian is the frontrunner to be the Lakers backup center.
It looks like Yi Jianlian will be the Lakers’ backup center. Looks good in practice, hitting 3s, potentially giving the team a stretch five.

Luke Walton said Yi Jianlian has been doing really well, especially shooting, says he’s probably been the best shooter of the bigs so far.

Yi is a former first round pick of the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2007 NBA Draft. He spent time with the Bucks, New Jersey Nets, Washington Wizards, and Dallas Mavericks before heading back to the CBA.
Yi brings a vast array of skills to the Lakers. He has the ability to stretch floor and can give the Lakers another look after Timofey Mozgov comes off.
