According to Mark Saxon of ESPNLosAngeles.com, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig will begin rehab with the Class A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

Puig has been out with a hamstring injury since April 24th. He was working his way back last month before he was sidelined again with a set back.

Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register also confirmed the news of the rehab progression.

NBCSports.com reports the following on Puig:

Yasiel Puig‘s first attempt at a minor league rehab assignment was halted about a month ago due to a setback with his left hamstring strain, but he’s starting to ramp things up again.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly told Ken Gurnick of MLB.com that Puig was able to run at nearly 100 percent Monday at the team’s Camelback Ranch complex in Arizona. While Mattingly wouldn’t provide a timeline for his return, Puig hinted via his Twitter account this afternoon that another minor league rehab assignment likely isn’t far off.”

Yasiel Puig had a little help in rehab too:

The Dodgers already have Carl Crawford on the 60-day disabled list and have been without Puig for most of the season and look forward to having him back in the lineup. We will continue to keep track of Puig’s progression.
