Puig has missed significant time this season with various injuries including his hamstring. Dodgers skipper Don Mattingly believed that Puig was going to miss significant time due to the injury and was not going to be available for the NLDS.
With the news that Puig is now running without an problems there is new hope that he will be available for the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if the Dodgers start him outright even though he has missed so much time or if they will try to ease him back into the lineup.
