Welcome to the Lakers: Josh Hart
- Updated: June 23, 2017
The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Josh Hart with the 30th pick in last night’s draft from the Utah Jazz.
Hart is a 6″5′ very polished sharp-shooter and he was the key contributor in helping Villanova’s victory over North
Carolina in 2016 NCAA Championship game.
Hart was a four-year starter at Villanova and was a consensus All-American and the Big East Player Of The Year in his Senior year. He improved his scoring production from 7.8 PPG in his Freshman season to 18.7 PPG in his
final year.
The Big East leader in effective field goal percentage, Hart also led the conference in games played, points per game, and offensive win shares. He’s and excellent rebounding guard that always seems to get the substantial rebound when needed.
Along with Lonzo Ball, the Lakers have selected two pieces that they have needed for quite some time. Josh Hart was a definite steal for the Lakers.
