With one win and one loss last week, the Ontario Reign finds itself in fourth place, an infinitesimal .003 points behind arch-rivals in the Pacific Division. With a 23-17-2-1 record and 47 points, the Reign next play at 7 p.m., Friday, February 9 at Bakersfield against the last place Condors.

The only goal came from Brett Sutter, his ninth from Sean Walker and Oscar Fantenberg. Mario Kempe scored two goals in the first period for the Roadrunners. Cal Peterson saved 23 of 27 shots in the loss

The next day, February 3, the Reign bounced back with a 5-1 blowout of the Iowa Wild. Two goals from forward Michael Mersch were enough for the victory as Peterson saved 22 of 23 shots. TJ Hensick had three assists in the victory.
