- Updated: January 31, 2018
Look at this team rise to the challenge. Two weeks ago hovering over the last place. Last week, still holding to sixth place. Now here we stand – Ontario Reign at 22-16-2-1 with 47 points and a .573 winning percentage. The first-place Tucson Roadrunners holds to first with 49 points and a .628 percentage in the Pacific Division.
Next up is that first-place team, as the Reign team faces the Roadrunners at 7 p.m., Friday, February 2 at the Citizens Bank Arena.
In last week’s action, Friday’s game saw Ontario drop an overtime game 3-2 against the Rockford IceHogs. They just about had it. Ontario goals came from Jonny Brodzinski and Brett Sutter.
The next day, Ontario traveled to Wisconsin, taking the game 4-3 against the Milwaukee Admirals by scoring three times in the third period. Goals came from Michael Mersch, Matt Luff, Brodzinski and Philippe Maillet.
