Mistakes and more mistakes led to a 39-10 loss for the Los Angeles Chargers at home against Minnesota.

The Vikings forced seven turnovers, four fumbles, and three interceptions in one of the worst games of the season for the Chargers. Melvin Gordon rushed for only 28 yards with two fumbles lost. Philip Rivers and Hunter Henry also fumbled.

Minnesota’s unknown running back Mike Boone came off the bench to rush for two touchdowns after Dalvin Cook left the game on the opening drive in the third quarter with an injury to his shoulder. The Chargers defense looked confused with the Vikings receivers but was able to not allow any of them to gain over 100 yards.

Keenan Allen led all receivers with 9 receptions for 99 yards. Mike Williams was the only bright spot for the Chargers. Williams scored on a two-yard touchdown pass midway through the second quarter to give the Chargers their only lead of the game.

The Chargers are now 5-9 and last in the AFC West. The final home game of the season is this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders (6-8). Oakland played their final game at home and lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 20-16.
