Tyson Ross To Undergo Shoulder Surgery

@gaslampball

According to Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego Padres pitcher Tyson Ross will undergo shoulder surgery today.

Ross pitched on Opening Day and went on to miss the rest of the year due to injuries. Ross is a former second round pick in the 2009 MLB Draft.

He was selected by the Oakland Athletics. He spent three years with the A’s before joining the Padres. Ross had his best season as a pro in 2014 where he was named to the All-Star team.

Ross sported a 13-14 record that season with a 2.81 ERA. He made 31 starts and struckout 195 batters. He may be healthy by the time Spring Training starts.

San Diego will look to improve this offseason as they attempt to climb the NL West Standings.
