Tyson Ross Strikes Out 11 But Padres Lose 4-2

SAN DIEGO, Ca- Tyson Ross struck out 11 batters but the San Francisco Giants beat the San Diego Padres 4-2 on Tuesday night.
Ross pitched 6 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. He stuck out 11 and walked 2. He received his 11th loss of the year.
On the other side Chris Heston got the start. He lasted just 4.1 innings allowing 2 hits. He struck out 7 but walked 5 and received a no decision for his efforts.
After 4 scoreless innings the Giants got on the board first. Trevor Brown hit a RBI double to center field that brought in Ehire Adrianza. This gave the Giants a 1-0 lead.
Brandon Crawford hit a RBI single in the 6th inning. His hit brought in Alejandro De Aza and the Giants lead increased to 2-0.
In the bottom of the 6th Cory Spangenberg hit a solo homerun to right. It was his 4th of the year and cut the lead to 2-1.
Angel Pagan answered with a home run of his own. His 2-run shot brought in Jarrett Parker. For Pagan he is not known for his power as it was only his 3rd bomb of the year.
Brett Wallace hit a solo homer of his own in the 7th inning. For Wallace it was his 16th of the year and cut the lead to 4-2.
For the Giants Santiago Casilla came on in the 9th inning and shut the club down. It was his 35th save of the year.
The Padres and Giants will continue their series tonight at 7:10 p.m. PST. Andrew Cashner and Jake Peavy will square off against each other.
