Turner Lifts Dodgers Over Padres 6-4

Justin Turner hit 2 home runs and drove in 4 RBI’s as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres 6-4 on Sunday. Los Angeles continues their record breaking season with the win.

For Los Angeles Kenta Maeda got the start. He pitched 5.1 innings allowing 4 hits and 4 runs, 3 of them earn. He walked 1 and struck out 8 as he picked up his 11th win of the year.

On the other side Luis Perdomo got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 4 hits and 5 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 1 as he picked up his 7th loss of the year.

The offense got started in the 1st inning for the Padres. Corey Spangenberg hit a solo shot to center field to put them on the board. Wil Myers hit a sacrifice fly that brought in Jose Pirela.

In the 4th inning Justin Turner hit a go-ahead 3-run homer. His bomb brought in Chris Taylor and Corey Seager. Later in the inning Yasmani Grandal hit a 2-run homer that brought in Corey Bellinger.

Spangenberg hit a 2-run shot in the 6th inning to cut the lead to 5-4. Turner hit a solo shot in the 8th inning to push the lead to 6-4.

Kenley Jansen came on in the 9th inning to pick up his 32nd save of the year. Los Angeles will take on the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium. Miguel Gonzalez and Alex Wood.
