Trout’s 2 HR’s Not Enough In Angels Loss

Mike Trout hit two home runs but it wasn’t enough as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim fell to the Seattle Mariners 5-3 on Monday night.
Andrew Heaney got the start. He pitched 3 innings and allowed 7 hits and 5 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 2 but allowed 3 home runs and picked up his 5th loss of the year.
On the other side, Wade Leblanc got the start. He pitched 5 innings and allowed 4 hits and 2 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 5 and picked up his 2nd win of the year.
Mike Trout hit a solo shot in the first inning. Albert Pujols followed with a solo shot of his own and pushed the lead to 2-0.
Seattle answered back with a 2-run shot from Nelson Cruz that brought in Jean Segura. Cruz hit another home run in the 4th inning that gave the Mariners the lead.
Ryon Healy hit a 2-run home run later in the inning to push the lead to 5-2. Trout hit another solo shot in the 8th inning that cut the lead to 5-3. Edwin Diaz came on in the 9th inning and picked up his 24 save of the year.
