According to J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group, the Los Angeles Dodgers have placed outfielder Trayce Thompson on the 60-day disabled list.
The Dodgers needed to make a 40-man roster move today to clear a spot for Rob Segedin. Trayce Thompson has been moved to the 60-day DL.

Ken Gurnick of the Los Angeles Times provided further information on Thompson’s status.
Dave Roberts didn’t exactly use the word “setback,” but Trayce Thompson (lower back) now isn’t expected to return before September.

Thompson has played in 80 games with the club this season and is hitting .225. He has 13 home runs and 32 RBI’s this season but has been dealing with a back injury that has forced him to miss sometime.
With the recent addition of Josh Reddick, Los Angeles has outfield depth to deal with the loss of Thompson until at least September.
