Toffoli’s Hat Trick Lifts Kings Over Flames

Tyler Toffoli recorded a Hat Trick tonight and lifted the Los Angeles Kings over the Calgary Flame 5-3. Tonight’s win pushed the Kings winning streak to three in a row. Last time out they were able to sneak by the Columbus Blues 4-3.
For the first time in a long time the Kings jumped out to an early lead. Toffoli opened up the game with a slap shot goal that was assisted by Jeff Carter. The Kings were able to hold a 1-0 lead heading into the second period as they outshot the Flames 11-6.
In the second period David Jones scored a goal to even the score. His goal was assisted by T.J. Brodie and Dennis Wideman. Just thirty seconds later Mason Raymond scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Matt Stajan and Wildeman.
Kings fans began to become anxious as it looked as if the Kings were going to somehow throw this game away. As the second period began to wind down Toffoli scored a goal that was assisted by Jake Muzzin and Carter as the Kings tied the game heading into the final period. The Kings outshot the Flames 19-4 and the Kings had all the momentum on their side.
In the first minute of the third period Dwight King scored a slap shot goal that was assisted by Carter and Toffoli. This game the Kinfs the 3-2 advantage. Jordan Nolan scored a goal of his own that was assisted by Drew Doughtry that put the Kings up 4-2.
Toffoli put the icing on the cake as he scored a backhanded goal that was assisted by Kings and Brayden McNabb. The final goal for the Kings gave Toffoli a Hat Trick!
Mason Raymond scored a wrist shot goal for the Flames but it was took little too late. Johnny Gaudreau was awarded the assist.
Tonight was big win for the Kings. The Staples Center was rocking! Up next they will take on the Washington Captials at home on Valentines Day.
