Tobias Harris Leads Magic Past Lakers In OT 103-97

For the second straight game the Los Angeles Lakers faltered in overtime and loss, this time to the Orlando Magic 103-97. The Lakers were in Milwaukee for their last game which ended very similar to tonight’s loss.
Tobias Harris scored a career high 34 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for the Magic in the win. Nikola Vucevic added 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Magic who are going through a transition period.
Orlando fired their head coach Jacque Vaughn on Thursday and named James Borrego their interm head coach. Borrego has spent time in the San Antonio Spurs organization and the New Orleans Pelicans as well. In his first game head coaching he was able to lead his team to the victory.
Victor Oladipo put together a double-double of his own for his team as well. He scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
For the Lakers Ryan Kelly scored a season high 20 points. Jeremy Lin and Carlos Boozer each scored 14 points off the bench, while Jordan Clarkson scored 14 as well.
Nick Young AKA Swaggy P was held scoreless in just 16 minutes tonight. The Lakers woes continue as they are now just 13-37 on the season.
Up next for the Lakers is the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon.
