According to Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher Tim Lincecum will remain in the starting rotation despite his struggles this season.
Mike Scioscia says Tim Lincecum remains in the rotation. His 8.70 ERA ranks 331st out of 333 pitchers who’ve thrown at least 30 innings.

Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com also reported the news.
Tim Lincecum will remain in the rotation, Scioscia said. Angels aren’t really in a position to peel away starting-pitching depth.

Gonzalez reported further information.
Was this Tim Lincecum’s last Angels start? Possibly. But the alternatives — Jhoulys Chacin or Nate Smith for 2 mths — isn’t great, either.

It’s safe to say that Lincecum has struggled this season in Anaheim with the Angels. In his seven starts he has allowed 31 runs with 29 of them being earned to go along with 15 walks and 9 home runs.
With the Angels desperate to find starting pitching help they pursued Lincecum in free agency and were able to add the former Cy Young award winner be he is simply a shell of himself.
