Tim Duncan notched another double-double and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Los Angeles Clippers 111-107 in game 5. With the win the Spurs take a 3-2 advantage in the series.
Blake Griffin lead the Clippers is scoring. He had a strong first three-quarters for the Clippers. He struggled once again as the Clippers fell. He had 30 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals in the game.
DeAndre Jordan had a strong game as well. He had 21 points and 14 rebounds. The Spurs used the Hack-a-Shaq tactic and Jordan shot just 7/16 from the free throw line.
Chris Paul had 19 points and 10 assists. He picked up a key technical foul late in the fourth quarter that didn’t help the case. J.J. Redick scored 13 points before fouling out, and Jamal Crawford added 8 off the bench shooting just 4/15.
Duncan recorded his third double-double of the series. He had 21 points and 11 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard added 18 points and 9 rebounds on 5/16 shooting. Tony Parker looked to have his legs back as he chipped in 13.
Patrick Mills started off the bench with 13, while Manu Ginobili (14) and Boris Diaw (10) reached double figures off the bench.
The big factor in tonight’s game was the Spurs ability to hit the long range shots. They connected on 11/23 three pointers, while the Clippers shot an horrific 1/14 from three point land.
Game 6 will take place on Thursday night in San Antonio. It’s do or die time for the Clippers.
