@Dodgers

Tracye Thompson drove in four runs on Tuesday night and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 10-5. For the Boys in Blue it was good to see this team bust out of the offensive slump.

For Tampa Matt Moore got the start. He pitched just 4.1 innings allowing 8 hits and 7 runs. He allowed two home runs and struck out two batters. His efforts earned him his third loss of the season.

On the other side Scott Kazmir got the start. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing 7 hits and four runs. He gave up two home runs and struck out 9 batters on his way to his second win of the season.

The offense got started for Tampa in the first inning. Evan Longoria hit a RBI double to left field that brought in Brandon Guyer and gave the Rays a 1-0 lead.

In the second inning Thompson hit a 2-run home run to left center field that brought in Howie Kendrick. It was Thompson’s second homer of the year. Joc Pederson followed up with a solo shot to centerfield. It was his fourth bomb of the year and the Dodgers led 3-1.

Curt Casali joined the home run party with a two-run shot that brought in Tim Beckham and tied the game in the 4th inning at 3-3.

Kendrick hit a 2-run double in the 5th inning that brought in Kike Hernandez and Yasiel Puig. Thompson followed up with a RBI single that brought in Justin Turner and Kendrick and the Dodgers led 7-3.

Steve Pearce hit a solo shot to left field in the bottom of the 5th inning to cut the lead to 7-4. Puig hit a 3-run shot in the 9th inning that brought in Corey Seager and Carl Crawford to push the lead to 10-4.

Longoria was hit by a pitch in the 9th inning that brought in Casali but the Dodgers would hold on to win 10-5. Kenley Jansen came on to get the final out in the 9th inning to record his 10th save of the year.
