The Sporting Life On Hold.

As everyone is trying to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic and practicing social distancing, our world as we know it is on hold. Please stay safe and we will continue to update you on any news on when our sports world will resume.

Some of us are still working and most of us are at home, self quarantined as our workplaces are closed. PLEASE do not worry, this is only a temporary state and life as we know it will resume.

On this past Thursday, the Baseball season was supposed to start, but the season is still in limbo and now we’re looking for a start date for our nation’s pastime. The NBA is still talking and wondering if they will resume their season, we just have to wait and see.

The NFL draft will be held on Thursday, April 23 thru the 25th as planned. Some of the General Managers and teams wanted the draft pushed back because of the current situation as all NFL training sites and facilities remain closed. For the league, this is the time that potential draftee to meet with teams that are interested in drafting them.

When all this is over, we can all look back on how this has changed our lives forever. Sports is the ultimate release from our day to day life of hustle and bustle of the important things we face. It’s an escape from life’s little problems that can take us away for a few hours while a goal, a slam dunk, a touchdown, and a home run can occupy our attention span and give us something interesting to talk about with our family and friends.

Yes, this has taken a toll on our economy and the way we live. But we have to stay positive and as this affects us all we have to remember to take the personal measures to fight this unseen enemy so we can get back to our lives and to a normal way of life.

Stay safe, stay protected and please remember to take all the precautions. Stay in touch with family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Check on them regularly, even though we’re distancing ourselves, reach and keep in touch. Sports will be back sooner than later.
