The Tampa Bay Lightning are one of the best teams in hockey and they beat the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center Sunday night 2-1. Anaheim has lost five out of the last six games.
The offense got started in the second period when Vladislav Namestnikov scored a backhanded goal. It was assisted by Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos.
In the third period, Jakob Silfverberg got the Ducks on the board. He scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Chris Wagner and Andrew Cogliano that tied the score at 1-1.
It was J.T. Brown that scored the go-ahead goal, a snapshot goal that ended up being the game-winner. His goal was assisted by Chris Kunitz and Ryan Callahan and the Lightning improved to 14-2-2 on the year.
John Gibson made 35 saves for Anaheim while Andrei Vasilevskiy made 28 saves. Anaheim currently sits at 7-7-3 on the year and have hit a cold spell, to say the least. The club will take on the Boston Bruins at home on Wednesday.
