Tampa Bay Comes Back To Beat The Chargers, 28-21

Eleven points in the fourth quarter were the difference as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the San Diego Chargers,
28-21. The Chargers took a seven-point lead at the into the locker room at halftime but was outscored 21-7 in the second half.

Melvin Gordon had another impressive day on running the ball gaining 84 yards on 17 carries and scoring his 10th touchdown of the season. Gordon is now eight yards away from joining the exclusive 1,000-yard rushing club for the first time. Philip Rivers managed to throw two touchdown passes to Dontrelle Inman for 35-yards to complete an eight-play drive that covered 75-yards. His second pass was to Tyrell Williams for 40-yards, to cap off a five play drive that covered 75-yards.

Two interceptions by Rivers proved to be very costly. The biggest one was when Lavonte David picked off Rivers and ran it back 15-yards for a touchdown. Rivers had a chance to bring the team back in the final minutes of the game but was picked off by Bucs Safety Keith Tandy, in the Red Zone.

BOLT NOTES:

Chargers Rookie defensive end Joey Bosa had another good game, he sacking Jameis Winston for a 12-yard loss and he now has 5 1/2 sacks for the season.

NEXT UP FOR THE CHARGERS:

The Chargers (5-7) will travel to Charlotte to Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. The team is 2-4 on the road this season. San Diego is now five full games behind the Oakland Raiders in the American Football Conference’s Western Division.
