SuperCharger MVP Week 6 – Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen

The San Diego Chargers fell again as their record now sits at 2-4. This week the Chargers took the L to the Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, at Lambeau Field.

Philip Rivers set franchise records in completions, attempts, and passing yards but it went in vein as the Packers held on to win the game.

It was the Packers who got on the board first with when Aaron Rodgers hit James Stark on a 5 yard touchdown pass. This gave the Pack an early 7-0 lead.

The Chargers responded with a 14 play 62 yard drive that ended with a 36 yard field goal by Josh Lambo.  This cut the lead to 7-3. With just under 2 minutes left in the first quarter James Starks took a 65 yard run to the house and the Packers ended the first quarter up 14-3. Things weren’t looking great for the Bolts.

Although the team lost, what are the positives from this game? The positive for this game was that once again Rivers and third year pro Keenan Allen were on the same page on Sunday.

In the first half, Keenan Allen had a very impressive 11 receptions, and 128 yards. The NFL even noticed:

Keenan Allen did obtain a minor injury on Sunday, but it is looking like that won’t stop the on-fire Allen. (You can all breathe a sigh of relief, Chargers fans).

The Chargers will take on the Oakland Raiders this Sunday, at home.
