I’m told by a source familiar with Chargers WR Stevie Johnson’s knee injury that he has a torn meniscus & will have surgery soon @nflnetwork

Silver reported further information.
At this point I’m told it’s unclear whether knee surgery for a torn meniscus will end Chargers WR Stevie Johnson’s season

Derek Togerson of NBC7 shared details.
Stevie Johnson has a torn meniscus in his right knee. Actually decent news, no ACL. He could still play this year. #Chargers

Johnson was originally picked in the 7th round by the Buffalo Bills back in the 2008 MLB Draft. He spent six years with the Bills before joining the San Francisco Forty Niners for a year and the Bolts last season.
With San Diego Johnson played in 11 games starting in 10 of them. He recorded 45 receptions for nearly 500 yards to go along with 3 touchdowns.
The news of the injury is not a great sign for the Chargers receiving core and hopefully he will be able to play at some point this season.
