Matt Leach of MLB.com tweeted his thoughts via Twitter.
Bummed to hear that Skip Schumaker is retiring, but 11 years in the bigs and 2 rings is not too shabby. Congrats to one of my favorites.

Schumaker is a former fifth round pick of the St.Louis Cardinals back in the 2011 MLB draft. He spent 8 years with the Cardinals winning two World Series rings. Next he joined the Los Angeles Dodgers for a year and Cincinnati Reds for two years.
Schumaker signed with the Padres this offseason and was expected to to compete for a job in the infield. At age 36 it looks as if father time as caught up to him.
