LeBron James passes Kobe Bryant for third place on the All-Time NBA Scoring List, but the Philadelphia 76ers get the win 108-91.
James scored 29 points in the loss, but in the process surpassed Kobe Bryant for third and could pass the all-time leader Kareem Abdul Jabbar in the next three seasons.
Philadelphia was led by Tobias Harris with 29 points, Ben Simmions had 28 and without All-Star Joel Embiid who is sidelined with a torn ligament in his finger on his left hand.
The Lakers started this game very sluggish, they committed nine turnovers in the first quarter to find themselves in a 10-point deficit at 35-25. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 31 points and seven rebounds. The Lakers bench was not a factor in this game, they were outscored 22-20.
The top four players on the All-Time scoring list have all worn the Lakers Purple and Gold. Kareem is still the all-time leader with 38,387 points, Karl Malone 36,928 points, and now LeBron James has 33,655 points with Kobe Bryant 33,643.
