Six Straight For The Chargers

Make it six-straight wins for the hottest team in the NFL after the Los Angeles Chargers beat the hapless Raiders in Oakland, 20-6.
The Raiders jumped out to an early 3-0 lead midway through the first quarter, but only managed to add another early in the fourth quarter for their only points of the game.
Mike Badgley‘s 27-yard field goal even the score at 3 midway through the second quarter. Keenan Allen gave the Chargers the lead on an 11-yard touchdown pass from Philip Rivers with only 24 seconds left in the half.
The only score in the third quarter was a highlight reel touchdown pass from Rivers to Melvin Gordon that covered 66-yards.
Mike Badgley added a 41-yard field goal to close out the scoring for Los Angeles and complete the sweep of their divisional rivals for the season.
BOLT NOTES:
Rivers was amazing again, 18 of 26 for 223 yards and two touchdown passes with only one interception. Gordon led the team in both on the ground and receiving with 93 and 72. With a 7-2 record, the Chargers has put them in the playoff race as a legitimate contender for a Super Bowl berth.
NEXT UP FOR THE CHARGERS:
A home date with the Denver Broncos (3-6) next Sunday in Carson. Another crucial divisional battle that Chargers need to win to keep pace with the Chiefs. Los Angeles is only two games behind the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West.
