Shaquille O’Neal Selected As Hall Of Fame Finalist

@SPORTalkLakers

According to the official twitter account of NBATV former Los Angeles Lakers great Shaquille O’Neal has been selected as a finalist for induction into the Hall of Fame.

O’Neal will most certainly get inducted as a first ballot Hall of Famer. He is one of the most dominant big men in the history of the game.

O’Neal’s most success came when he was with the Lakers. He won three of his four championships with LA including a MVP award and three Finals MVP’s.

Originally drafted by the Orlando Magic, O’Neal teamed up with Kobe Bryant and Phil Jackson in LA before winning a title with Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat.

Shaq was a dominant player in the paint and even made the legal adapt new rules to level the playing field. The defensive three in the key rule was made to slow Shaq down, as well as the five seconds back to the basket rule.

O’Neal is getting his jersey retired in Miami at some point during next season and is getting a statue outside of Staples Center next season as well.

Congratulations Shaq!
