Scott Van Slyke Latest Dodger To Land On DL

According to Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times, Scott Van Slyke is the latest Dodger to land on the disabled list.

Scott Van Slyke is going on the DL with wrist irritation. That’s 27 players on the DL for the Dodgers, tying a big-league record.

Mike Petriello of MLB.com shared his thoughts on the news.

The Dodgers have placed Scott Van Slyke on the DL, their record-setting 817th DL trip* this year.

Correction: Scott Van Slyke went on DL in April, so number of Dodgers on DL holds at 26.

It’s no secret that the Dodgers have been trying to fight the injury bug all season. Van Slyke has been battling this injury all season and manager Dave Roberts was quoted saying the injury affects his swing.

Matthew Moreno of Dodgers Blue 1958 reported the news.

Dave Roberts said Scott Van Slyke has battled wrist issue “over the course of a calendar year.” It affects Van Slyke’s swing.
