San Diego Padres Beat LA Dodgers 7-2

The San Diego Padres roughed up Dodgers starter Yu Darvish and beat Los Angeles 7-2 on Saturday night. Los Angeles dropped both games against San Diego yesterday.

Darvish got the start and only lasted 3 innings. He allowed 8 hits and 5 runs along with 3 walks while striking out 5. He picked up his 11th loss of the year.

On the other side Jordan Lyles got the start. He pitched 4.1 innings allowing 6 hits and 2 runs. He walked 4 and struck out 3 and picked up the no decision.

The offense got started in the 1st inning with Justin Turner hit a RBI double that brought in Curtis Grandson. In the bottom half of the inning Hector Sanchez grounded out to first that brought in Eric Aybar and tied the score art 1-1.

In the 3rd inning Adrian Gonzalez hit a RBI single that brought in Turner and the Dodgers held a 2-1 advantage. It was all Padres in the bottom half of the inning. Carlos Asuaje hit a solo home run. Sanchez followed with a RBI single, and Matt Szczur hit a RBI double that brought in Cory Spangenberg and Sanchez and after the 3rd inning San Diego led 5-2.

In the 7th inning Yangervos Solarte hit a RBI single and Jose Pirela followed with one himself and the Padres went on to win 7-2.
