According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com the San Diego Chargers have reached an agreement with defensive back Jimmy Wilson.

Wilson had spent his entire four year career with the Miami Dolphins after being drafted by the Phins in the 2011 NFL Draft. He confirmed the news of his signing on Twitter and thank the Miami fans.

The addition of Wilson was necessary for the Bolts after Marcus Gilchrist agreed to a deal with the New York Jets. Adding Wilson will add to the depth that the Chargers have on defense as they will pair him up with Brandon Flowers, Jason Verrett and Eric Weddle.

Below is Wilson’s career stats.
