Roenicke has ties to Southern California as he was a coach in the Los Angeles Dodgers system in the early 90’s. Roenicke then spent 10 years on the Angels coaching staff before becoming the Milwaukee Brewers manager in 2011.
He manged the Brewers for four seasons before being fired early in 2015. He then returned to Los Angeles and served as the third base coach for the Dodgers.
Roenicke threw his name in the Dodgers managerial hat and was not able to land that job. He rejoins the Angels staff after having years of coaching experience.
