Wow! What a game! After a loss in Game 2 against the Houston Rockets, the Los Angeles Clippers came back strong and beat the Rockets 124-99!
Austin Rivers was the truth tonight as he put up a play-off high of 25 points! He was so important to the game that the crowd ignited in cheers and chants of his name, which also led to an ovation when he exited the court. Doc Rivers was so proud that he kept his son in for the first two minutes of the fourth quarter.
Chris Paul returned tonight after missing the first two games with a hamstring injury. He helped the team out by putting up 12 points and seven assists. The main man, J.J. Redick though, had his own career payoff best after he scored 31 points! Blake Griffin came in behind him with 22 points and 14 rebounds and DeAndre Jordan dominated with 15 rebounds.
As for the Rockets, they lost themselves in the second half of the game. The Clippers were just too good! James Harden had 25 points and 11 assists while Dwight Howard added 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Jason Terry was ejected from the game after he was called for a technical foul in the fourth quarter for tripping Blake Griffin and the altercation that ensued. He ended his night with 13 points.
After tonight, I think it’s safe to say the CaliSports News team is ready for Game 4! Which will take place on Sunday at Staples Center!
