Rivers Career High Not Enough, Clippers Fall 115-112

Austin Rivers poured in a career-high 38 points but it wasn’t enough as the Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 115-112 on Saturday night. Los Angeles falls to 13-19 on the season.
Rivers scored 38 points in 33 minutes while Lou Williams added 36 for the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan scored just 4 points but added 18 rebounds in the loss. For Memphis, Tyreke Evans flirted with a triple-double. He had 30 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds.
Marc Gasol had a strong game with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Andrew Harrison added 15 points and Dillon Brooks reached double figures with 11 points. James Ennis III scored 14 points and had 2 rebounds off the bench while Jarell Martin added 9 points and 7 rebounds.
Los Angeles lost the rebound battle 47-37 and recorded just 14 assists on the night. Up next for Los Angeles they will take on the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night at the Staples Center. Los Angeles is hoping to get some of their key players back next week.
