In a interview with the MLB Network Radio, Zaidi spoke about Moncada.
“Moncada, we’ve scouted extensively. We have the checkbook. Young elite talent in baseball is the most valuable asset to have. To the extent that our evaluation of him matches or exceeds where the market goes, we’ll definitely be players for him.”
While the Dodgers swung and missed on Yoan Lopez, they are focused on Moncada now. Moncada is just 19 years-old and has a ton of potential. Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com provided some insight on the situation with the Dodgers.

Moncada still needs to jump through some hoops before he can be signed by a big league team but Sanchez also discussed his versatility.
Moncada is an INF. Plays second, short & 3B. #Dodgers interest in him will make for an interesting situation when he’s cleared by OFAC. — Jesse Sanchez (@JesseSanchezMLB) January 13, 2015
The Dodgers have had recent success with Cuban star Yasiel Puig so it is no surprise that they are interested in Moncada. You can listen to interview with Zaidi below.
