REPORT: J.C. Ramirez Out For The Season

According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher J.C. Ramirez is out for the year due to Tommy John surgery.
And for those of you wondering about Parker Bridwell, option rules mean he has to be down for 10 days unless he’s replacing someone going on the DL. JC Ramirez wouldn’t count since he didn’t replace him directly. He could come back 4/17.

A key distinction on JC Ramirez. According to both him and GM Billy Eppler, doctors never recommended TJ surgery at any point earlier in this process. Richards/Heaney had more significant tears than Ramirez. Obviously his got worse. That happens when you throw 96.
