According to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu has been sent back to Los Angeles to examine his shoulder injury.
Hyun-Jin Ryu’s throwing session did not go well. #Dodgers are sending him back to be examined by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in LA.

With Ryu suffering from shoulder discomfort this close to the start of the season it is most likely that he will start the season the DL. With that being said many people believe the Dodgers in the market for a starting pitcher.
That may not necessarily be true if though the Dodgers have linked to Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels. Plunkett voiced his opinions on any Hamels trade talk via Twitter.
Back away from the Cole Hamels talk. If you think #Dodgers are going to trade for a starting pitcher lower your sights way, way below that

He continued.
Consensus opinion is #Phillies likely wait to move Hamels at trade deadline hoping for more competitive/desperate suitors, bigger return

He then put on the GM hat in a possible Dodgers Phillies trade.
If I’m Phillies, I don’t send Hamels to LA without getting Seager or Urias (plus others) in return. #Dodgers won’t do that.

This in no way reflects any real trade talks but if the Dodgers are asked to part ways with prospect Julio Urias or Corey Seager you call those deals dead.
The Dodgers will have to wait and see how Ryu’s examinations go back in Los Angeles. In the meantime it’s for Brett Anderson and Brandon McCarthy to step up big time.
