According to Ian Rapport of NFL.com the San Diego Chargers are working on a extension with DE Corey Liuget.

Liuget, was a first round pick from the University of Illinois back in 2011. He has spent his entire career with the Chargers. Last season he recorded 4.5 sacks including a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

The Chargers have been trying to work on extensions for Eric Weddle and Philip Rivers. The talks have stalled with the two fan favorites so the organization has turned to the big defensive end.

Below is Liuget’s career statistics.
