A.J. Ellis Reinstated From DL

According to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times the Los Angeles Dodgers have reinstated A.J. Ellis from the disabled list.

In order to reinstate Ellis the Dodgers were forced to option Austin Barnes. The Dodgers announced the news on their official Twitter account this afternoon.

Barnes who is 25-years of age was selected in the 9th round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Florida Marlins. He attended Arizona State University and played college ball.

This year is Triple-A he is batting .304 with 8 home runs and 38 RBI’s. His time in the big leagues will come sooner rather than later.
