Red Hot Ducks Beat Canucks 5-2

If you’re a Anaheim Ducks fan as Drake would say “What a time, to be alive.” The Ducks are hot and they won again last night against the Vancouver Canucks 5-2.

After a scoreless first period Anaheim made sure to make it up to the fans in the second period. Rickard Rakell scored his 15th goal of the year with a snap shot. Sami Vatanen (22) and Mike Santorelli (6) were credited with the assists.

Later in the period Vatanen scored a goal a slap shot goal of his own. It was his 8th goal of the year and was assisted by Ryan Getzlaf (39) and Cam Fowler (15). Anaheim went into the third period with a 2-0 lead.

They continued to add to the lead when Getzlaf scored his 7th goal of the year that went unassisted. Less than 30 seconds later Josh Manson scored a wrist shot goal that was his third of the season. His goal was assisted by Rakell (17) and Andrew Cogliano (12).

Vancouver finally got on the board when Jannik Hansen scored his 17th goal of the season. His goal was assisted by Daniel Sedin (25).

Sven Baertschi  scored a power play goal to cut into the lead. His wrist shot goal was his 12th of the year and was assisted by Henrik Sedin (32) and Daniel (26).

Kevin Bieksa put one more in for insurance for the Ducks. It was his 3rd goal of the season and was assisted by Kesler (19) and the Ducks went on to win 5-2.

John Gibson made 19 saves for Anaheim while Ryan Miller made 28 saves. Up next for Anaheim is the Calgary Flame on Sunday night at the Honda Center.
