Recap: Royals 9, Angels 4

The Kansas City Royals won game three of the four-game set. This game is indicative of how strong the lineup is of the Royals. There was a lot of see if this game as the Royals offense wasted no time putting up runs.
Royals starting pitcher Johnny Cueto (9-7, 2.46 ERA, 8.0 IP, 4 K’s, 8 Hits, 1 ER) (W) was great on the mound against Angels starter Matt Shoemaker (5-9, 4.76 ERA, 1.2 IP, 7 Hits, 6 ER, 3 BB) (L)
Shoemaker was unable to make it out of the second inning after Angels first baseman Albert Pujols hit a solo home run to left center field. In the bottom of the second inning the Royals opened up this game. They scored six runs taking a 6-1 lead.
Angels reliever Fernando Salas relieved Matt Shoemaker. In the bottom of the third inning, Royals second baseman Ben Zobrist hit an RBI single to right field as Jarrod Dyson scored to give Kansas City a 7-1 lead over Los Angeles.
In the bottom of the sixth inning the Royals scored two more runs to add to their lead as it was 9-1. The Angels managed to score late in the top of the ninth. C.J. Kron hit a solo home run to left center field. Shane Victorino scored via error and lastly Carlos Perez hit an RBI double as the final score was 9-4 Kansas City.
Tonight at 5:00 PM PT game four of this series will continue. Angels starting pitcher Hector Santiago (7-6, 2.87 ERA) will take on Yordano Ventura (7-7, 4.97 ERA) in the series finale.
