Recap: Padres 11, Reds 6

The San Diego Padres have managed to win two straight games. After their 2-1 win on Monday night, they followed that with a 11-6 strong win. Though both teams may be out of their divisional race it was a competitive game nonetheless.
Padres starting pitcher Collin Rea (1-0, 5.40 ERA, 5.0 IP, 4 K’s, 7 Hits, 3 ER) pitched very well as Cincinnati Reds starter Michael Lorenzen (3-8, 5.46 ERA, 1.1 IP, 1 K, 7 Hits, 7 ER) struggled from the start yesterday.
By the second inning the San Diego Padres were into total control. They led 8-0 by the end of the second inning.After going up 3-0 in the bottom of the first inning. The offensive onslaught continued yet again in the bottom of the third as the Padres scored three more runs for an 11-0 commanding lead.
When the top of the fifth inning came around the Cincinnati Reds scoredd three runs to make it 11-3. Late in the top of the ninth inning Todd Frazier and Jason Bourgeois hit home runs as the final score was 11-6 San Diego.
This afternoon at 12:40 PM PT game three will begin. Reds starting pitcher Raisel Iglesias (2-4, 4.73 ERA) will take on James Shields (8-4, 3.75 ERA)
