Recap: Indians 2, Angels 0

Last night at Anaheim Stadium the Cleveland Indians were able to win in extra innings last night to avoid losing the series. In this game the pitching was on point as both starters were dealing as no runs were scored all throughout the first nine innings.
Indians starter Carlos Carrasco (11-8, 3.76 ERA, 9.0 IP, 7 K’s, 1 Hit, 0 ER) was on top of his game as he allowed 1 hit through nine innings. Angels starter Matt Shoemaker (5-7, 4.01 ERA, 6.0 IP, 10 K’s, 5 Hits, 0 ER) dealt to the Indians lineup as well only giving up 5 hits while striking out 10 in six innings.
This game came down to the top of the 12th inning. Lonnie Chisenhall hit a single as Jose Alvarez (2-3, 3.52 ERA) (L) was the Angels reliever. Giovanny Urshela was the player of the game. Urshela hit a two-run home run to deep left field as Cleveland took a 2-0 lead.
This was the final score as Indians pitcher Zach McAllister (3-3, 2.84 ERA) (W) was awarded the win while their closer Cody Allen picked up his 22nd save of the season.
Game three of this series continues as we speak. Indians starter Danny Salazar (9-6, 3.46 ERA) will take on Angels starter Hector Santiago (7-5, 2.70 ERA) in the series finale.
