RECAP: Dodgers Win, Over Phillies, 10-7

In one of the longest games of the season,(4 hours, 12 minutes), the Los Angeles Dodgers had to come from behind to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies, 10-7. There were some mixup on to whom the starter was going to be for the Dodgers, Eric Surkamp was listed as the starter but a few hours before the game, Yimi Garcia took the mound for his first start of the season.

Jimmy Rollins spent most of career in Philadelphia (15 years), in his first game against his former team, he collected two hits, including the go-ahead single in the seventh inning, breaking a 7-7 tie and giving the Dodgers the lead for good. Philadelphia managed to build a 6-3 lead, on home runs by Freddie Galvis, Ryan Howard and Odubel Herrera. Yasmani Grandal even the score in the bottom of the fifth inning, with a three run home run to right center field.

The Dodgers offense was clicking on all cylinders, all of the position players had a least on hit, lead by Howie Kendrick, who went 4-5 and he missed the cycle by a home run.

Los Angeles,(47-37), will send Brett Anderson,(5-4, 3.00 ERA), to the hill. Philadelphia,(28-57), will send former Dodger Chad Billingsley, (0-2, 7.71 ERA), who will be facing his old team for the first time.

Los Angeles remains in first place in the National League West, five games ahead of the second place San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia continues to be the worst team in baseball, they are now nineteen games behind the first place Washington Nationals, in the National League East.
