The Los Angeles Dodgers take the final game of the series against the Washington Nationals, 5-0.

In ones of the best pitching match ups of the season, this game goes to Dodgers starter Zack Greinke,(9-2), as he opposed the Nationals Matt Scherzer,(10-8). Greinke has now extended his scoreless streak to 43-2/3 innings, striking out 11, in eight innings of work, on 119 pitches. This was a true masterpiece by Greinke, who is making a strong case for the National League Cy Young Award.

The Dodgers offense only scored one run through the first four innings, on a wild pitch by Scherzer, that score Andre Either from third. In the top of the ninth inning, the offense exploded for four more runs, including a two run single by Yasiel Puig, for the final two runs, which put the game out of reach. Howie Kendrick and Andre Either both collected three hits, to lead a 15 hit attack for the Blue Crew.
Dodgers All star catcher Yasmani Grandal left the ball game,in the seventh inning, after he was struck in the jaw with a foul ball. He will be tested further when the team arrives in Atlanta.

The Dodgers,(53-40), are now heading to Turner Field in Atlanta, to start a three game set with the Braves,(43-48). In a Former Braves starter Brandon Beachy,(0-1, 6.75 ERA) will get the call for Los Angeles, in his homecoming, Atlanta will counter with Matt Wisler,(3-1, 3.10 ERA).
