Recap: Dodgers 3, Nationals 8 – Four In A Row
- Updated: August 11, 2015
The Dodgers came into this game today with a 5-0 record after losing 3 in a row this season so I felt confident they would win this game but I forgot that baseball is funny sometimes and things rarely go the way they’re supposed to.
Ground Ball extraordinaire Brett Anderson gave up a home eto Ian Desmond in the second inning that put the Nationals up 2-0 and they never looked back. Brett just wasn’t himself today as he only struck out 1, walked 3 and gave up 10 hits in 5 innings.
Jose Peraza called up today started in place of Howie Kendrick who went on the DL today with a strained hamstring collected his first major league hit in the third inning and that was all the excitement from the Dodgers side until Carl Crawford hit a 3 run pinch hit home run with 2 outs in the 9th inning to put the score 8-3 instead of 8-0 but that was just a tease because the next hitting struck out to end the game.
That was just a bad game and I don’t have much to say, we’re still in first place, I still believe in this team and let’s move on.
Let’s get back on track tomorrow, Zack Greinke (11-3, 1.71) vs Joe Ross (3-3, 2.80) start time 7:10, see you tonight.
