The Los Angeles Dodgers have already gotten back on track since losing their last series to the St. Louis Cardinals. Yesterday’s win is a sign that the team should hopefully get back on track to winning ball games.

Arizona Diamondback’s pitcher Robbie Ray (1-1, 1.53 ERA, 6.2 IP, 2 ER, 4 K’s) (L) faced Carlos Frías (4-3, 3.86 ERA, 6.2 IP, 1 ER, 3 K’s) Frías was the first to allow a run in the game. This was during the top of the second inning when Jarrod Saltalamacchia scored by a wild pitch from Frías as Arizona was up 1-0.

Both pitchers didn’t allow any runs for the next three innings. This was until the player of last nights game second baseman Howie Kendrick came up huge for Los Angeles. In the bottom of the sixth inning Kendrick hit the game tying home run to right field (370 feet) as the game was 1-1.

In the bottom of the seventh inning both outfielder Chris Heisey and Yasiel Puig reached on base. With two runners in scoring position after Adrían Gonzalez was intentionally walked, Howie Kendrick hit the go-ahead two-run RBI single to shallow center as Heisey and Puig scored for a 3-1 lead.

This was the final score as the Dodgers have claimed this series over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Dodgers relieve pitcher Adam Liberatore (2-1) picked up the win as closer Kenley Jansen earned save number (7) on the year.

In the series finale tonight at 7:10 PM PT Jeremy Hellickson (4-3, 4.88 ERA) will start for Arizona as Brett Anderson (2-4, 3.29 ERA) will look to earn a win as he’s lost his last two starts.
