Recap: Blue Jays 9, Angels 2

The Toronto Blue Jays (67-55) were able to handily win game one of this series against the Los Angeles Angels (63-59) who have lost two straight games.
Blue Jays ace David Price (12-4, 2.40 ERA, 8.0 IP, 9 K’s, 6 Hits, 2 ER) (W) nearly pitched a complete game against the Angels lineup. Price faced Angels starter Hector Santiago (7-7, 2.91 ERA, 3.2 IP, 4 K’s, 3 Hits, 2 ER) (L)
Santiago struggled in the top of the first inning. Toronto scored three runs to take an early 3-0 lead. In the top of the fourth inning Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson (2-3, R, 3 RBI, BB) hit an RBI double as left fielder Ben Revere (4-5, R, RBI, K) scored to give the Blue Jays a 4-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth inning the Angels were able to score. Angels catcher Chris Iannetta (1-4, RBI, 2 K) hit an RBI double as C.J. Kron scored it was 4-1 as Toronto was in control.
By the end of the eighth inning the Blue Jays lead the Angels 8-2. The Blue Jays scored once more as the final here was 9-2.
Tonight at 6:05 PM PT game two will begin. Blue Jays pitcher Marco Estrada (10-7, 3.20 ERA) will face Angels starter Andrew Heaney (5-1. 2.43 ERA)
