RECAP: Astros Out Slugged Angels, 13-3

In a very important series between the Los Angeles Angels and the American League Western Divisional leader the Houston Astros, The middle game goes to the Astros, 13-3.
Carlos Correa and Louis Valbuena lead a 16 hit attack and created the most damage in the victory for Houston. Houston starter Collin McHugh,(8-3) gave up two runs on 9 hits and got the win for Houston. C.J. Wilson,(5-6) took the loss and continued his struggles this season. Wilson only managed to pitch on 3-1/3 and left the game shortly after Valbuena hit his first of two homer runs for the game. Astros rookie Correa took Wilson deep in the second inning, with two out and two runners on, he ended up with 4 RBI’s, going 3 for 6.
The bright spot for Los Angeles in this game was left fielder Efren Navarro, who went 3 for 4 and he managed to drive in a pair of runs to lead the Angels.
The win for Houston,(42-32) has now opened up a 4 game lead over the sec on place Texas Rangers. Both Houston and Texas are playing very well and unexpected to this point of the season. The Angels (37-35) now find themselves 4.5 games behind and in third place, in the American League West.
