Recap: Angles 3, Dodgers 2 – Puig leaves in 5th
- Updated: April 2, 2015
Bullpen games can be fun, you get to see a few guys you never really saw before, a new pitcher every inning, they’re fun but this one didn’t end well. Unfortunately Josh Ravin, who up until the 4th inning hadn’t given up a run all spring gave up 2 and that was enough to pull the Angels forward, shutting out the Dodgers until the top of the 8th, the Dodgers falling short 3-2.
Yasiel Puig had to leave the game in the fifth inning after colliding with Howie Kendrick on a shallow fly ball, Howie will have to learn Puig out there tries to get to everything.
Mike Trout hit a mistake pitch in the first inning out to right field, continuing to hit the Dodgers well.
The Dodgers only tallied 6 hits total, notably Carl Crawford, Yasmani Grandal and Puig going hitless.
This loss leaves the Dodgers 16-9 with 2 more games to go before opening day on on Tuesday in San Diego.
Matt Shoemaker was awarded with the win for the Halos, while Mike Morin was awarded with the save.
