Rams Request Head Coach Interview With Teryl Austin

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Los Angeles Rams have requested to interview defensive coordinator Teryl Austin for their head coaching vacancy.

Austin started his coaching career at the collegiate level working with various major division one programs. He spent time with Penn State, Wake Forest, Syracuse, and Michigan, before joining the NFL.
In 2003 he began his NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks as a defensive backs coach for a few years. He went on to the Arizona Cardinals where he was in the same capacity.
In 2010 he left the NFL and became the defensive coordinator for the Florida Gators. He returned to the NFL as a secondary coach with the Baltimore Ravens, and became the defensive coordinator for the Lions in 2014.
